I find that both of them are a good idea. If I stake my LEO, I can give back a little extra to the LBI posts and if I buy LBI, it increases LBI's worth. But right now, I plan to stake until the airdrop.

Correct. There are many ways to enhance the growth and value of our holdings. This is where we see the active part of our investments being enhanced.
We need to get others to see the light with that. Our returns, overall, can be helped through out efforts.

This is an excellent strategy. Accumulating LEO you will consequently have more LEO to exchange for LBI.
Taking this moment to stack even more because of the airdrop is the most correct decision.
