Well like what Steven Van Metre usually says, QE is deflationary until it becomes inflationary. It lowers rate and hopes that people will start taking loans due to the low rates. However I don't really see how rates can go any lower.

Yeah I agree with him on that. However, in this environment, with rates already low and housing prices up, not sure that more borrowing will take place as a result of lower rates.
How much difference can there be in the payment with rates going down another half percent?
There are affordability issues in many areas. That isnt going to be solved with lower rates.
