Its definitely interesting. It is making use of things that already exist so it is practically free energy. I guess this will move some of the strain on the energy supplies but I wonder if adding in this harvesting feature is cost-effective. Either way I assume it will take years before we can apply it ourselves.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. That little invention doesn't look like it would too difficult to scale and mass produce to me. If you read the article, the professor talked about the fact that it wasn't cost-effective....until 5G came along. They're already building 6G in other places around the world. This could actually come to market much sooner than you think. I'd probably look for one of the giant communications company to buy out this company. That might end it right there though...

I think I missed the line. I would like to see my cell phone never having to touch a charger ever again. It probably wouldn't leave my pocket when I am not home.
