I'm not a fan of the guy because he's a Phillie, but you can't argue with him regarding the Dodgers.

My Mets spent the most ever on one player in any sport when they signed Soto and although I believe it's all insane at the end of the day it's a business and these guys make the organizations a lot of money so they have to get theirs.
Furthermore, the Dodgers are doing what they are allowed to do until they can't. They created the Cohen Tax when he bought the Mets and started spending like crazy. Not sure if they want to stifle the Dodgers in any way. I think it would be dumb.
Guys like Ohtani and Betts are bringing the much needed enthusiasm to the sport. Other teams are paying their future stars already to ensure they get them locked up for years to come. It's a domino effect and it is what it is.
