Mets lost back to back games for the first time this season, lost the series and played horribly today against the Twins. There were some bright spots but Lindor's defense and Soto's offense has been dragging the team down. Alonso once again is the sole bright spot offensively and they brought up a kid Justin Hagenman in his major league debut that pitched a solid 3 1/2 innings. Griffin Canning came down with something and couldn't make his start so the Mets went with a bullpen game today. They almost pulled it off but the offense and defense has been killing them.
With all that said, the Phillies lost so the Mets are still in first place and the Braves lost and are now 5-13 - OUCH!
Yankees won so it's crazy but the Mets and Yankees are both 11-7 and are in first place respectively in their respective divisions.
They need to pick it up with them bats!!!
