I'm just throwing this out there. I enjoy trading and I've never actually done any paper trading. Do any of you have any experience with paper trading? Would anyone be interested in a little paper trading contest? We could do something with no pressure, or I could put a little prize on the line, like a couple of Hive for the winner or something. Just putting it out there. I would love to hear any feedback about how best to do this.
Are any of you aware of any paper trading contests that are already going on?
Most of my investments are sitting in index funds and target date funds. I have a couple of accounts where my strategies are a little more exotic and I have another strategy that I would like to try that's a little more exotic, but I'mn not ready to toss real money at it. If nobody else jumps in then I think I'll start with $15k pretend money, try out my strategy and see how it goes.
If some of you want to run a contest and have a better idea then I can adjust it and if there's enough interaction from the community, I'll pony up a couple of Hive for the winner. I would like to think of myself as an investor, so my preliminary plan is to let this run for a year with updates every month or so.
