From my observation earning points towards rewards seem to have been better, I am liking the new reward system as well.
It comes with trying to win battles is a more strategic way now than just wanting to have fun.

Bro I am still in the Gold league, I qualify to play in Diamond but choose not to play in Diamond with my level 4 summoners, the opponents will make life miserable for me.

The game has a way of getting to me when am on a losing streak against higher summoners so I'd rather respect myself and stay in my league.
