Then, this tells us the world is in a global mess all together with a lot depending on us to alleviate the hardship with the hope of getting out of this mess sooner.
The mindset in our society is very disturbing in relation to how one handles money, what is a priority and what should be determining factors when forming friendship or relationship with people.
It has become a norm in the society here, if you don't own a car, you are seen as one with no future. It is the easiest way for some ladies to tell if a man is capable of providing for his family or just a loser with no goals, the same can be said for some men with lavish life style living to impress.
I had an experience with a lady recently, prior to going for a lunch date the excitement of a potential relationship was high. Then comes Joe rocking up at a date without having a car, the excitement dropped drastically.
The conversation went to how many kids we want and I was asked
are you financially capable of fathering a child?
To this lady I kept repeating the word build meaning I want a woman whom we can build for the future together but it never clicked for her. At some point she said as much as she wants a relationship she don't want to suffer.
This I find to be a societal poverty mindset very disturbing, you get judged based on your appearance and what you own and not the goals you have and what you have going on for you.
The mindset to live life impressing others is the quickest way to remain poor for life.
Life is meant to be lived fully and enjoyable but there are principles worth implementing so as not to end up living life in debt for short occasions of fun thinking you are living life to the fullest.
There are some guests in our lives not worthy of our attention so they can leave, this lady was just another unwelcome guest.

I have met a lot of gold diggers in the past, not that I had any gold to be dug. But the thing is, they're potential spotters. Things like expensive jeans, iphones or cars turns them on. It's crazy how you're poor as a lady but you expect another man to be rich, it's why I never had any woman for a long time. I couldn't just bear that poverty mentality.
On the bright side though, hahaha only if that lady knew that you're a wealthy man, cheiiii.
It's sad bro, very sad when you approach a lady with good intentions and you get perceived as poor guy.
I try not to make this post more about relationship but for financial perspective. This lady asked why didn't I buy her flowers, I asked which is her favorite flower and she just couldn't give me a name.
That was when I told myself am wasting my time here.

It's absolutely crazy I won't lie to you. Good ladies are hard to come by, it's why many men create a wealthy status impression just to sleep with them. Good intentions doesn't count again these days it's the deciet and lies that does.
And for the likes of us that is sticking to our principles of not showing off, it seem we are screwed.
Living my life not impressing people comes with a lot of peace of mind though.

The other myself and you made mention of how appreciative we are of Hive, the financial discipline we get for being on Hive, Leofinance learning about how to turn a dollar to two alone makes me happy. Most are out there lamenting over unemployment some of us here don't see that as a problem for us as we keep building wealth.

This reminded me of the quote (unfortunately I don't remember where I heard it) that wealth is what you don't see - if you blew it all on a fancy car or watch then you wouldn't have nearly as much left!
