ENGLISH VERSION
Hello everyone!!!
In the previous post, I showed you the interest in HBD that I had received over the past 18 months.
Today, as I promised in that post, I'm going to do an experiment to see how cheaply I can buy HBD, losing as little as possible due to spreads on Tribaldex and withdrawal fees.
First, I bought DOGE on MEXC to deposit it into MEXC.
Yes, I know what you're thinking. By depositing DOGE, I'll have to pay the deposit fee and, on top of that, I'm at the mercy of the selling price. Normally, the best option is to buy Hive and then use that Hive to directly buy HBD, but in this particular instance they were buying Doge at about 1% higher than on MEXC, so I gained roughly 0.25%, minus the deposit fee. Shark mind 🦈🦈
With that DOGE, I bought 15% of it in Hive, and that's where the real journey begins 😅😅
The ask (the price they’re selling at) was 4.65 HIVE ($1.01) and the bid (buying price) was 4.59 ($0.99).
The day I bought $1000 worth of HBD, I bought at the ask, paying an extra 0.015 for each HBD.
This time, what we’re going to try is to buy directly by placing a BID order. The key was to try to get it as cheap as possible, but since the current order at 4.59 wasn’t getting filled, I had to gradually raise it until they started selling...
I placed bids at 4.60 and 4.61, and nothing—until finally they started filling my order at 4.62.
Apparently, a bot started buying from me in very small amounts, until finally everything was sold.
This left me with 14.8260 HBD. Now I just had to withdraw 😑
If we do the math (the 14.714 I received, multiplied by 100 and divided by the initial $15), it gives us 98.093, meaning I lost 1.906% 💦💦💦💦
In the first trade I made in this post, I lost 2.63%. It’s an improvement, but I think it can still be optimized a bit more.
I’ll try again...
