I am really not a fan of looking at the price of crypto...
Heck, if you paid me a million bucks right now to tell you what the price of Bitcoin was, I wouldn't be able to do it. I know, I know..
'But Jongo, you are IN the crypto space? How do you not pay attention to the price of this stuff...?'
I have an idea of where things are, but like I've stated for years now...I'm much more interested in the development, use case and community. These are three things that matter the most to me, when I decide to invest in any blockchain or crypto project.
But what drives those three factors?
When I first got started on this blockchain there was a content creator that I really took to. He's no longer around but he made a post that has stuck with me for all these years.
In the post he stated that crypto and blockchain projects need 3 unique types of community members. And in today's post I wanted to highlight how important the community is and these 3 'types' are especially here on Hive.
Developers
Without these people, we have nothing to 'use' which plays into not only the use case of the crypto but also the development side of things obviously. These amazing folks are what makes the blockchain tick and a strong development community is vital to the success of every blockchain project.
I've seen this play out, time and time again not only on Hive but also across the crypto space. Without development, projects quickly die.
Users
On Hive this comes in different shades but mostly it would be content creators and consumers. It's also 'players' on blockchain games like @Splinterlands and @RisingStarGame The life blood of a successful project especially in my opinion is actual users!
Check out some of projects that everyone seems to rave about in crypto and what do you see...Fantastic white papers but no actual users. And that might get some hype, but it's not sustainable without...The users! The people!
Investors
When you have strong development and actual use case, it catches the attention of investors. Now sure, there are some out there that are only looking for the quick buck. They try to flip assets every hour to turn a profit and I'm sure they have their place...
However the investors I'm thinking about, don't only invest 'money' into the project, they invest time. I would hardly consider myself an investor when it comes to @LeoFinance LEO levels...But I have invested blood, sweat and tears into things, which can be some of the most valuable assets you have!
Combine all this and you have....
The perfect blockchain!
But here's the secret about our little home on chain...Most Hive community members are more than just 'one type'! Some are users and developers. Some are investors and developers. Some are...All three!
You don't find that in many other blockchain projects online!

Strongly agree. They have that sort of mutual relationship in a sense that people will come when they are provided with a good platform and when people come in numbers then developers and investors may also come.
Agreed. There's so many amazing things happening here, and it keeps attracting the right people.
I am a core user and investor, at the same time I fall into the category of believers too, holding and showing up everyday. Infact, like you said, we all fit into so many aspects which contributes to the growth here.
That's my thinking too...We're all a little bit of all three.
Yes investors has a great contribution, I'm a time investor right now and I can just afford it. But I try to be regular and with to contribute in hive thrive.
That's the biggest investment you can make here...Your time.

Honestly you really have a breakdown of what the Blockchains is all about,and the interesting thing is that the three can't do without the each other because one will have to use what the others has created.for now I happen to fall into the group of content creator and a little bit of investor.but I believe with time I will be going fully in for investment.thanks alot for this breakdown of the Blockchain.
Absolutely. It's a big cycle of life here, we each need each other to grow and make this place so special.
I think there are a lot of people under the user and investor. After all, I am one of those people. In a way, the features that Hive has (fast and free transactions) appeal to a large number of people and developers. So I think there is more room for Hive to grow.

And I think those points you mentioned will attract that growth!
They are three key players in any business or economy. I would add the thinkers, they are the geniuses of crazy ideas that later seem obvious to all of us.
In the crypto market I have undoubtedly been an investor for a long time, especially BTC, in Hive I am more of a user but little by little my investor appetite is growing here.
It's a great way for people to get their feet wet...Test the waters, poke around and start learning this blockchain stuff.

This is very interesting details. I agree that users here are more than one type. They need to be user first unless they are investors. Buy massive amount of hive token to flip for profit, or to hodl. Which way not that important as hive has it all !
I think that's exactly it....Hive does have it all, and caters to so many!
I feel the same. Content writers, developers, investor and also the marketers are what make and break the blockchain. I think hive definitely needs one of these to work in such way that soon we will be treated like Ethereum is being treated. They have got all the pieces connected properly.
Ethereum is the darling of the crypto space for sure. It's got a ton of use case and is branded as the blockchain to build on.
Quite correct and this takes time to get the right mix and on Hive I think we should be proud of what is here now. Having a proper community with so many various offerings for all walks of life tells me there is a proper future here.

Long term for sure, but the best part about Hive is....You can win every day, just by being active. Daily rewards are a bonus for bigger potential down the road.
So looking at the value that you can generate from your blogging, OUTSIDE of the reward pool?
Such as putting your offer (whatever it may be) in front of a niche audience that trusts you because of the relationships you've fostered via blogging/commenting?

I just have a different opinion when it comes to price. Though I don't allow price to influence my emotion, I use it as an indication of when to buy and sell. A solid project with the three types of people that you mentioned and with a low token price tells us of an opportunity to buy more. A speculative project but with soaring price, I also consider buying such token just for a quick gain. But of course, riding this type of token requires a strong stomach.
