Like most of us on the blockchain, we've been eagerly anticipating the release of #ProjectBlank - the microblogging platform that is being developed by the @LeoFinance team.
A lot of us feel, this could be the killer application that we've been waiting for and will help raise massive awareness to the community and blockchain. And while the project has been pushed back with the launch of Cub Finance, we're still waiting with baited breath....For an announcement...Of an announcement ;)
One of the reasons I'm personally bullish about this platform is because I know the power of Twitter and what it means for crypto as a whole but even with my online businesses. Twitter and the micro-blogging concept is powerful for getting people to know, like and trust you...Which again, plays big into my plans for using these platforms.
So I decided to do a little test...To show the world, how impactful #ProjectBlank will be, using some traditional and non-traditional social media sites. I took one post and shared it on 4 of the following platforms...
Facebook
Twitter
Torum
Noise.Cash
The post was announcing the little podcast project that @taskmaster4450 and myself have begun, and thought I would see what kind of results I got from each...As you are about to see, the need for a micro-blogging platform on the blockchain is not only needed...But the no-brainer killer application of the year!!!!

Decent engagement, but the comments were low and with 2500 plus friends, only 11 likes left much to be desired.
Facebook is only good for live streaming these days lol

The 'crypto Facebook' that has a lot of people excited! I have to admit, I haven't been paying as much attention to this site as others, but still not bad....19 likes and 2 'shares'....What was low though, was the comments....With only 1 Torum member commenting!

This is why something like #ProjectBlank is needed!!! Take a look at Noise.Cash and you will see, the MOST engagement. shares and likes across the 4 platforms I tested...
Why is that?
Noise does reward people for commenting, although it's not a guaranteed reward. But to me, it's their model....They are a true micro-blogging platform where crypto enthusiasts flock to discuss everything from NFT's to DeFi!
This type of platform is popular because you don't need to be a Pultizer Prize winning author to get seen, get engaging and get rewarded.
It's crazy simple too....Post to a community (chamber) and add a picture if you like...There's your post.
It embraces the DNA of Twitter but adds the crypto element to it with BCH rewards.
Now....
Imagine THAT same model, but right here! On the blockchain!
The simplicity of micro-blogging but with the power of Hive and LEO behind it....
I know, I know...We need to be patient, and I am...But the content creator and entrepreneur in me, just sees Project Blank and can't help but say to myself over and over again....
This is going to change how everyone looks at blockchain based social media forever!
Nugget: You may be asking, why didn't you test out Leo or Hive on this little experiment? I'm VERY confident, that this post will BLOW every other post I made about the podcast...Let's see if I'm right ;) Which is the big reason why, ProjectBlank on this blockchain will be the no brainer of no brainers!

D.buzz already exists and is doing well. You can buzz directly to Twitter was well. Just saying...
I think Dbuzz is brilliant, and the team is awesome. I just don't want the buzz's showing up on my feed like a regular post. Which is the problem that we all hope Project Blank has fixed.

We'll have to see the implementation and details but doesn't Hive already have a twitter-like app in d.buzz? I thought d.buzz was a lot better than noise.cash with the inbuilt gif searches and all.
It's very functional, the issue for me is how it displays on my feeds. I don't want 'tweets' let's say, show up on my timeline.

Good point. Yeah I don't like how it ends up on the feed either but I suppose there's no avoiding it unless they get off the Hive chain?
Biggest issues with Facebook and Twitter is they are publicly traded companies. They wont show your content to all of your followers anymore. Instead they make you pay for it now lol
So you do all the work, create all the content, tell people to follow you on these social networks just for them to slap ads all over your content, restrict how many people see your posts and profit off all of it. Talk about one ass backwards system lol It's time to replace the BS people! People need to be in power again and not corporations.

Nice one @jongolson, personally I love twitter(followed you a few mins ago) and always wishes for a tokenised twitter like application. #ProjectBlank is going to fill that gap. Twitter is an amazing app for clear cut real time communication. Just imagine you get to know about earthquakes on twitter before you even feel it. 😂
#PB will also bring in more users on LEO and HIVE. Which means more activity and inward investments. It's going to be a perfect fit for this platform.

It's going to be great. I feel noise is slipping a bit but it will be up to use Leo's to make sure blank is a hit. I do feel like timing is key and people aren't as mad at Twitter and Facebook as they were a month ago but something will happen to push them away again and hopefully blank will be ready!

What can I say that you haven't said before - you're amazing! I totally share your thoughts on Project Blank and it's reality, the possibilities are endless when it comes to microblogging and being able to reward people who enjoy doing this, how many people wouldn't want to monetize their tweets? Especially those tweets that have had over 1000 likes and have reached over 10k people, it's crazy to think about.

I understand the hip because of LeoFinance but there is D.Buzz also as "like" Twitter app on the HIVE blockchain working since sometime now. People are talking about Projekt Blank as nothing like that exist already. And this last thing I really, really, do not understand.
How it's presented is the issue. Again, love the team and this the app is great. But it still shows on my time line and would love to have an app that is on the blockchain, but doesnt show on my feed every time I post.

Like with LeoFinace or any other comunity frontend you need to reblog the post for to appear on your HIVE blog. Sadly. And each comunity has its own tag so you need to use it in order to appear on their front end.

How often do you think you can post in the bolckchain of HIVE? Make a test. Enought for Twitter equivalence as far as I have seen. Anyway the limitations are on the blockchain not on the frontend. What is the difference with another project in the same blockchain?
