The systems we have in Nigeria needs to change from the grassroot-level. How about the people at the grassroots do not want to begin the change because they believe the change has to start from the top. Since government is not accountable in fact so many systems we have in Africa are not accountable in general, it makes it very concerning to understand that before Africa can experience a massive change there has to be an overhaul in ideology.
I think the first thing to do is to actually be self aware. the populace has to be less greedy in order to be more concerned about the bigger thing. What I'm trying to say is that governments and the people needs to forestall change simultaneously. In systems like Nigeria voting for the right people is actually the beginning.
Thank you for coming through.
This your last statement is right, removing sentiments and nepotism.
My fear however is that the damage is far done already and it will be a herculean task to bring about a value reorientation to Nigerians and perhaps why I suggested the need for a radical leader who would instill a sense of responsibility and lawfulness to the people.
God help us as we help the system rightly.
