Derivatives are anti price discovery. Its a good thing, all that interest and money has to go into the real market to own the actual asset now. Making money from selling something short that you dont own in the first place is really bad for the market in general. Good for making money but it can hold prices down, they have been manipulating silver this way for decades because those who have the deepest pockets win. Ie the bankers.
