I agree with you on clickbait. A bit of a necessary evil since it works so well and some people only care about squeezing as much money as they can.
I don't really see "remember to like and subscribe" being used in a manner to talk down to viewers. At least, I haven't seen that in any videos that I've watched. Creators just want to boost their content as much as possible with the algorithm through engagement. I have no issue with that as long as they don't try to draw it out as long as possible (like with the "only 30 people are actually subscribed" speech).
