Collectible NFTs are bs. The true value of NFTs lies in future utility functions in the areas of identification, real estate, insurance, plus a slew others. No reason to close the book on utility NFTs quite yet, it is a developing area.

Maybe NFTs need to be redefined to reflect the reality of their uses. NFTs like you described make sense.
NFTs as collectibles should be given another term to reflect their after-market nature as collectibles and speculations.
When the 2 groups of NFTs are assigned better terms, it should help everyone make the move to whichever kind they prefer.
