Outside of Hive and as a cheaper alternative to Axie Infinity, you should really give a careful look at MyDeFiPet.
The game is in its infant stages, so the opportunity still exists to get in early. It's BSC based and relies on it's native utility token, dPet, for all transactions (1 dPet = 0.005787282 BNB). An Egg to hatch a pet costs 3 dPet, evolving your pet costs 3 dPet, and if you want new generations, mating your pet costs 5 dPet. Not overly expensive at all.
Recently they introduced 'The Hunt' where you can earn crops (to feed your pets) as well as an earning of dPet tokens. Battles (which are advertised as higher payouts in dPet) are due to be introduced in the next month or so.
Personally I am very big on the potential earnings possible from this game. Putting my money where my mouth is I already have 6 evolved pets, and am planning on adding more (plus continuing to evolve the ones I have). For example of the graphics, here is my most evolved pet:

The UX is straightforward and the UI is clean.

That's interesting. I believe I've heard about this game before from a few people but I never checked it out.
I'll take a closer look mainly because it's still "cheap" to get in. I don't plan on paying it actively but it could be a good investment opportunity.
