RE: LeoThread 2023-05-28 22:14

in LeoFinancelast year

FYI Ecency does not have a backend and does not properly read/write to threads backend

So if you’re using Ecency to reply or create threads, they won’t show on leofinance or earn any $LEO rewards

Sort:

Noted. Do they show up in container counts too? Are they written into the "post"?

it seems like they did some weird hobbled version where it can write to either dbuzz or the LeoThreads container

So yes it is writing to our container but it isn’t actually indexed by any backend infrastructure

Hmm odd. Not sure how that serves things but at least they introduced microblogging to their app.

It doesn't serve anything, they just created a way to try and get users into a weird version of microblogging they made without actually building the community for it

Well it does provide microblogging on their platform which I guess is a bonus. Might not compare to threads but it is bringing a new dynamic to the table.

Jack of all threads I guess

it is better not to use decency at all then

I'm a fiend for Threads on the $LEO platform so....Let's gooooo!

let’s goooo 🫡🚀

Important note for all! ** MUST READ **

yeah we should spread the word. Ecency just created a frontend that tries to write to either dbuzz or LeoThreads

Problem is, they have no backend and are incompatible with ours

I see that being a very confusing thing for people rolling forward and honestly not sure how to correct it without constantly informing the masses. Any time I notice it I'll leave a comment/mention of it to that person.

yeah perhaps a bot could be created to auto reply to “threads” made from a non-compatible UI like Ecency and point people back to leofinance

Might be worth giving it a shot. Seems like a good solution for what options we have, perhaps a max setting as well of 10 mentions a day (if that becomes an issue) As the userbase increases it would be good to correct people asap.

that would be great and an easy way to notify people

I have lost a huge number of thread when i did not know

This issues started with this new UI but on the old UI, I use ecency to read, write and everything on Thread and it works.

Which frontend will I be using to replies and comment?

only use leofinance.io

I think Ecency should remove LeoThreads as an option on their UI. It’s confusing to #hive users

I will.they should improves theirs as well

TLDR Use Leothreads UI for everything related to threads

i don't know this but I don't feel good about replying thread on another frontend
