Yeah this has changed the game for me. I always struggled responding to even just comments on my blog. Now I'm responding to those + @ mentions + threads replies all in one UI and very quickly. Love it

Could the notification pop up be made to redirect one to the thread once it is click on the android phone?

Yes, I click and think I can instantly see the reply but the pop up notification just disappears.
