Yeah, definitely a big shift not just cosmetic, but structural.
You're right: if post rewards are now tied to trading profits, that changes the whole dynamic. It seems like creators earn from the platform's success rather than direct inflation or staking pools.
As for curation, that's the big question. Does it still earn a cut? Or does it fade into the background while trading volume takes center stage? If curation incentives disappear or shrink, that might discourage thoughtful engagement.
Waiting for clarity here too — the mechanics need to be transparent if they want people to trust the new model.
from what i understand the rewards pool / inflation would be gone.
basically no reason to stake and grow on the social side?
Yeah, that’s how it’s sounding so far if inflation is gone and rewards now flow from subs and ads (and not stake-based upvotes), then traditional staking loses its reward-generating purpose on the social side.
Unless staking still influences distribution of those ad/sub-generated rewards, it might only serve as a reputation or governance marker.
It’s a big shift from “stake to earn” to “grow the platform to earn.”
Good for long-term sustainability, but definitely a mindset change for current LEO Power holders.
