We all wish to be everything for everyone. The reality, however, is that occasionally we lose ourselves in the procedure.
Time passed, but I eventually understood: not every circumstance merits all of my effort. Not everyone merits my emotional involvement. Valuing my health and heart and guarding my energy doesn't make me selfish; rather, it makes me self-aware.
Learn to say NO; not everything is worth giving up yourself for.
Saying No is important. My wife had to learn it the hard way. (Burnout ). You have to care for yourself and love yourself first before you can do that for others. Also avoid all the energy vampires which suck your life out of you.
