RE: WOO Token buyback project / SWAP.HIVE Liquidity increase

in LeoFinance2 years ago

Maybe I do not understand you correctly but buying back something normaly means, you take it from the table. Like buing back shares is taking them from the market.

You put more WOO (and Swa.Hive) into the market. So why do you speak from a buy back?

Sort:

I understand the confusion. The buyback program we announced isn't similar to stock buybacks, as you may see on Wall Street. Instead, we are buying back WOO tokens issued through various inflationary means and using that new position to increase liquidity with our SWAP.HIVE pairing.

We also have done and will continue to do manual buybacks, which act the same way as stock buybacks. The tokens we purchase under the manual buyback are held long-term and are not staked, thus not receiving staking inflation. We chose not to stake any of those tokens not to reduce returns for the users who decide to stake their tokens.

I can see how word choice may be confusing, as words can have multiple meanings. I hope this reply has cleared up any confusion.
