The Bitcoin Mining Council’s report looks skeptical

When I heard that the bitcoin council made a report and claimed that the use of green energy for bitcoin mining has increased 52.2% in 2021, it sounded fishy and made up to me. This council was formed shortly after Elon Musk said Tesla was going to discontinue bitcoin payment. All of a sudden their data is showing 56% of sustainable energy is used to mine bitcoin.

They failed to give a precise breakdown and evidence of how the energies were obtained. The council only did a survey to some few miners and came with the conclusion data, which is reliable. Because most people that participated must have claimed that they use sustainable energy to mine bitcoin but what about the ones that skipped the survey?

I guess they forgot that most bitcoin miners based in China and after the Chinese crackdown for bitcoin miners, most of them are still trying to settle and that must definitely affect their survey and data.
