In this video, I show my process and how I decide what to buy vs. what not to buy when sourcing books to flip on Amazon.
Sorry about the audio, not sure why it came out weird but I tried to correct it as much as possible.
Make sure to check the previous video, where I showed this but in speed run fashion to get 12 books as fast as possible.

Loads of value here man! I'm about to jump off the porch using your strategy. Was trying to decide on what to sell an I was leaning towards books...u just sealed the deal. Will give an update.
Good look bro! Highly recommend the prep center strategy - Little Owl Prep in Ohio is great
Have always been interested in this! Will check it out later!
let me know your questions or feedback
I will when I get around to watching it!
Have just re-shared this, always been interesting in flipping. I flip collectibles occasionally. Will listen to this!
thanks! Yeah I'm full time into it
This might be a dumb question but bear with me...newbie here. I'm trying out selling books on Amazon. I intend to ramp up slowly. Right now I'm just buying and selling on my own and doing my own labeling, etc. Doesn't seem so bad using FBA since you can send a box of 20 or 30 books or so to Amazon at a time. Once I prove to myself that I can make at least a little profit I'll try moving up to actually paying for software, using a prep service and upping my volume. One thing that bothers me is the number of books that are "branded" that you have to prove that you have gotten 10 or more from a supplier and upload an invoice in order to sell. What's up with that? Is there a way to filter those out in any of the software or do you just have to try to add it to your inventory to find out?
not dumb questions at all!
i highly recommend getting good at sourcing from thrift stores and such til you're making enough to scale. it won't take long if you hustle and don't but a ton of trash. just send boxes as often as possible to get yourself buy box eligible, which will definitely help with your account health.
here's the thing - what you're talking about it called gating. a lot of brands require 3rd party sellers on amazon to get "ungated" by asking if they call sell their brand. others require an invoice for 10 units of a specific brand. some 100 units, some 200 units. the good thing is when you're scouting, Scoutly will tell you if you are restricted when you scan an item. the trick is to then flip over to the SellerAMP app and scan it again, then click the "Manual Ungate" button. this will tell you right then and there if you can just apply or of you need to get the 10 units. will help you not buy stuff you can't immediately sell.
the more you sell, the less you're gated. apply as you come across brands that allow it, even if you aren't going to sell that book you scanned. just apply. there's some tricks to getting ungated in dvds and cds i'd be happy to share, but unfortunately there are no shortcuts for book brands.
