Last I heard, Lou Lamoriello ran the Leafs (at least as GM, maybe more than that). That was in 2020. Is the Shanahan you're referring to Brendan Shanahan? Thumbs up for Don Cherry, but didn't he get fired a few years ago from his TV gig?
