I am the Lazy Ecologist and my purpose is trying to save the planet one lazy action at a time 🌎💤 And while I am as lazy as anyone can be, I decided to write my first post on the Hive blockchain and do a powerup. I am mostly doing short form content as long form content is too much for me, but couldn't stay away on this day - 1st of November 2025 - from the Hive Power Up Day events. And with all the buzz on all social medias like Snaps, Threads, Twitter (yes, I still like the old name compared to X and if it was available I would buy the old domain name) and even Reddit, we can really make this one the greatest event ever. Or at least we owe to ourselves to surpass any previous participations.
As I've joined the Hive blockchain around one week ago, you can imagine that there isn't too much Hive that I can power up. But anything matters and it is upmost important to participate and be in the game. You can mostly find my eco humor on Snaps and sometimes on Threads (even if there I am limited to express myself and post less). Thus the rewards are less than expected for long form articles. But in time, with persistency and consistency it gathers and maybe at some point I will afford to plant some trees out of the rewards that I get here. In fact, this idea came right as I was writing this article and I wonder where I can adhere to such a cause of planting trees. I would also like to do the planting myself as a proof of it and maybe share it with the community.
So far I had 17.750 Hive Power and for the day I did a Power up of 1.425 and upped my game to 19.175 Hive Power. For the future I intend to have at least 10 Hive put aside for the HPUD event in order to make it more meaningful. But for now I think this is a gesture of participation until we get more connections and content out here, even if it is in the short form type. I've started this account as eco humor but as it grows I believe it can become so much more and one idea is to really make a purpose out of it by moving with some "green" actions in the real world. I will try to find out how can I involve myself in such actions and maybe make something more meaningful than the tiny actions from my couch.
