Hello everyone, today is the day!!! Today is the day we start to vote on CUBs for "Help a CUB". We have over $600 collected in donations, I must say DAMN!!, well done as we only collected for 1 week. It just goes to show that when we have a powerful account that gets into the top trending posts and lots of exposure from LBIer's resteeming, we can pretty much do amazing things.
This will sound cheesy but together we are stronger. We all love making money, hell I love money more than anyone I know but I also like to break bread when I get some. It's really refreshing and motivating to see others think the same so again thank you to everyone that made a donation. Let's pick a CUB to help out and move on to the next community project, next community project will be free so don't be sweating, I'll not ask for money/donations all the time, baaa-haha.
Help a CUB
41 members of the LeoFinace community have made donations and raised enough money to help out a CUB on LeoFinace. There are alot of CUBs on here that are being held back by the fact their whole HIVE/LEO experience is through a mobile phone and they are very limited to being creative, researching or the content they can produce. We have decided that together through small donations to help out a fellow CUB and help them get to the next level buying offering a free PC/laptop to a deserving CUB.
We are offering $500 to the winner to buy a laptop/PC. We from yesterday now have a runner up prize that has been donated by @herbertholmes2. He has kindly offered his spare laptop to the runner up. It's used and the battery is flat but a windows reboot and new battery (maybe) could bring it back to its former glory. Please check out his post offering the donation and show it some love with upvotes. We now have 2 prizes folks, BOOM!! I never saw that coming and was super stoked when Taskmaster shared the link with me, smiling from ear to ear while reading his post.
CUBS
For the past 2 weeks, me and taskmaster4450 have been scanning the #helpacub tag daily and resteeming posts from the @lbi-token account to help us track the nomination posts while giving them exposure to our followers. We had 2 nominations in the first week which was low I thought, a few users suggested changing some of the conditions to apply and I'm happy I listened as we got 4 nominations this week to bring us to a total of 6 CUB's to pick from.
Please take your time and read through each post and try to put yourself into a place where you walk a mile in their shoes. There are 6 posts and they should take no longer than 20-30 minutes to read through so get yourself a comfy spot to read through them. In order of nomination date

By now, assuming to read the nomination posts, you will have a better idea of who you think deserves the laptop/PC the most, who will use it to help them grow from a CUB into a LION that's adding value to the LeoFinance community.

Awww shucks, I appreciate your kind words haha. I'm happy to be able to offer something. I've been keeping it as backup but it's not necessary- I'm confident this thing will last for awhile longer, and a new one should be in my future anyway.
I've read a few of the posts(that's actually what caught my attention- I had not seen the contest until I stumbled upon someone's entry), but I'm excited to read the rest :) It would be amazing if it worked out so that this wouldn't have to be a one-time thing

Hello, maybe you are seeing what is there now but you are not seeing what it could be, maybe some of the candidates could grow in a great way, besides that you are investing in adding more active members to the community it would not be a good idea to be more and more CUB? and believe me that after helping someone in need many people who did not publish here before, from now on they will begin to do it, also the members who already have time in the community publishing could have the knowledge to sustain themselves, they have the tools that you learned from all those who have been around for a long time, that is my goal, to acquire enough knowledge to make better posts each time so maybe I am not yet in the position to be an attractive member for you but believe me that one day I will be .

I hope so as I am just stating the facts that the candidates for this reward are rather disappointing and why I have grave concerns. One candidate has 10 Leo staked another 4 and another 2 and everyone else has nothing. This doesn't excite me from those numbers and I would like to help someone who deserves the support. Do any of these qualify from those numbers and I would have to honestly say a big No. I would rather see a delegation to help these people first and then see who qualifies from their actions.

wow friend this is what I love about the blockchain that you can see each movement I have a little more than 10 Leo to be exact 43.5 counting the delegates that I have with my friend @ amr008.leo and with what I have been able to withdraw I made myself with a little CUB a little less than 1 month ago, of which I am really happy since I started with 13 CUB plus some liquidity in the BNB pair and soon there will be 5 new CUBs
I can also mention that last week while chatting on @leomarkettalk which I openly recommend, it was mentioned that good things were coming for LBI which I did with a bit as I got rewards, after seeing the news today from

I got a little more to take advantage of the launch of the CL tokens I currently have 31.5 LBI and I plan to add more! I hate to compare but you can go through my profile and you will surely see a little more movement than some colleagues who are in the contest and that apparently more important only answer here when you can take advantage and also upload an article, I reiterate the easier it is to preach with facts and not with words ... here I have learned a lot and between successes and mistakes I love spending hours surfing everything that the Hive and Leo community have to offer! thanks greetings and many successes!

Hello friend, I think it is very rude to take advantage, talked about the other contestants, talk about your achievements not comparing with the others who are at a disadvantage, none of the other contestants have a full-time computer, you do have one, is a little worn but you still have it, I wish I had one like yours but that was mine, in the future speaks only of what you have done on the platform which is great.

If you felt alluded to excuse me, just mention something that in my opinion I am seeing, I have read stories where people publish with a cell phone, even I have published from a cell phone at times while I have been away from home, I can describe some applications that help you do the job from the mobile, that will be why I bring to the subject that instead of being aware of just answering here you can also contribute a little value with an article and thus take advantage of the time, it leaves a lot to think about ... and if you publish the little that I have achieved so far is because I feel that if I have made an effort to put what I have gained in different places within the community and I am not doing it for bragging if I am just beginning, they were only generalizing and I think it is valid to defend what So far I have done and if the others have not done it, it is everyone's problem, if you look at what I wrote in that article, I mentioned that one of the main intentions that motivated me was the fact. ho that people with limitations will be inspired and take a boost, I believe in the principle that "Excuses are for losers" and I try as much as possible that my days are safe from excuses. Hey @silverstackeruk wouldn't a delegation be better right now helping these candidates grow showing their commitment to the community and then maybe they each get a computer. Just thinking the numbers are not exactly strong for either one of them and this would be possibly a better option.

I feel that it has been a trip full of value so I do not think it fits in that derogatory way as you mention all the effort I have made, now if you want to say that that is not enough to deserve an award, ok there if you have the right to discredit, maybe the other participants do not care about your words because I do not think there is much effort to defend but in my case I would like you to define well the fact that for your concept "it is not enough" and not say lightly that you do not see commitment or effort! two very different things at least in my case!

How someone could grow in the community without a primary tool, a computer, it is difficult for someone to learn, write and interact without that tool, it will only generate unattractive post, it is like giving someone who is hungry a package of rice but does not have a kitchen where to cook it.

A really great initative, I am a little stumped for time right now as I am off to spend the evening with family I haven't seen since xmas.
I will make sure to come back, read each story and interact with the contestents, fair play to you and taskmaster for doing this for those that will really benefit.

Great initiative, I hope the CUB who wins the laptop uses it well 😀
I also have an old laptop that I could offer, It is really old but it is enough to surf the internet and to write posts.
Question is how do we get it where it has to go? I will use the upcoming week to clean it up and wipe the data. I also have to check up on the brand (might be MSI)
It is really old like 10 years or so. But last time I switched it on it worked fine.
