In the process of building this app, we've worked extremely hard on tailoring the experience. The goal with our new app is to create something that is both easy to use and modular.
That is, the more experienced you are with Hive, Leo and Web3, the more features you will be able to "unlock" and leverage to make your Web3 experience better.
We believe that one of the biggest issues on Hive and Web3 in general is content discovery. We've cracked the code on this and finally have some really cool mechanisms that will absolutely change the way you experience both short-form and long-form content on Hive.
In this clip from the AMA, we talk about a bunch of these topics in preparation for the Feb 14th release date!
- We are adding “recommended follows” for the personalized feeds.
- Content segmentation as a way to organize feeds.
- The key is to offer users what they want to read, just like the FB and IG algorithm works but at a smaller scale.
- The community is our main tool for segmentation - We use the activity from specific authors as part of our simple algorithm.
- The model is based on “keeping eyeballs in the feed” to increase Ad Revenue in order to burn more $leo on a monthly basis.
- Votes, replies, comments… all of that will help our feeds algorithm.
- Ticking topic boxes as an imperfect but effective way to personalize feeds.

I think it's great that the new application is more user friendly for those of us who are not familiar with the current one.
I want to learn more about leo and of course earn from your tokens, but I don't know how.
This is an amazing development, all this put together wil definitely increase more activities and bring lot of accuracy to the community too
