The question: Could you use cryptocurrency to raise funds for bush fire recovery?

The answer: Yes

with the emergence of meme tokens that serve no real purpose yet turned over hundreds of millions of dollars a day. I decided to investigate if I could develop my own meme token with the purpose of creating an alternative revenue stream to support bush fire recovery.

it's only recently launched and sales are no where near Shuiba Inu or Dogecoin but I just made a $850 donation to Zoos Victoria

Wo0t wo0t!

img_0.8391739354236989.jpg

It's a start. Now you have a test case for the use case for SKIPPY. People want to see proof, and you have proof. May the buys for donations begin flowing.

Fingers crossed. There's already a .5 BNB sale on the presale website page. Noting its not a presale but there aren't many options to sell tokens. If people buy they get it right away.

I had to set up a small LP so the price didn't stuff up.

Wow that is a great start. How has the price action been lately?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That Is Amazing
Honestly, I had no idea all that was possible when I first joined Hive 9 months ago. It makes me very happy that you were able to raise that kind of money. It is crazy just with posting, and upvoting, how much can be made on this blockchain.

Testing of Peerplays DEX has begun.

Give them some help. It is on testnet and the tokens on there have no value.

I just read an article about a projection that, over the next decade, the fund manager believes that Bitcoin will go up over 1600% and Ethereum over 2250%.

If that is the case, then I see Hive going up by a much larger percentage.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

So HIVE 100x (10,000%)?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hive 200000% lol

What's new Old man? How do you see SHIB in the future?

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

What old man are you talking about?

As for SHIB, I don't know but I am avoiding it and I don't think it will retain it's current value.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea it looks like Project Blank is still at the end of the year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Weren't we saving up something for that? HBD or something? It's been so long I forgot.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it was suppose to be like last year but it kept being pushed back. It's a bit more realistic since the mobile app came out.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, I knew about the date being pushed back, but I forgot about the token we were saving up for. Was it HBD for Project Blank or something else?

I remember us talking about it in the spring, but have forgotten which token we were stacking for it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The token we needed to save up was LEO. I think it was getting airdropped according to the staked LEO we had but I am not sure.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Aaaahhh... Thanks for that. I don't know what made me think of HBD, might've been conflating it with the monthly HBD savings announcement we were talking about at that time.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It will be close. Perhaps in January if things slide which we know they can. Plus, they have to get the app through Apple and Google, and we see that isnt so easy.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea it's good they think the timeline is this year so maybe early next year is more realistic.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

REMINDER!!!

Get those #CANDIES soon. There is an unsubstantiated rumor they might be running out. Supply chain shocks are hitting CANDIES.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks I collected my candies.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Got my 20, waiting to collect my 30 at 8PM.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

HIVE holding over $1.00.

Will this post reverse the engines on it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I hope in 5 $ to HIVE in the end of the year

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

That will take a huge bull run in the overall crypto market I believe. It could happen, in fact many are forecasting it.

So if BTC heads toward $90K and ETH to $10K, we might see it.

Time is ticking though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's almost $1.10 right now so it's looking quite nice right now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Back down to $1.01 right now. So the bouncing ball continues.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's holding above a buck again. Even I've been buying a little HIVE recently, using Litecoin to avoid the high BTC fees, then sending it to my account for HIVE.

Up until late last year, I would buy HIVE using Bitcoin, and the fees were killer, until I learned to use LTC. Much lower fees.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is an interesting play. Nothing like going all in.

I am not sure $SHIB is the way to get there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Didn't someone do something like that a few years ago for Bitcoin or Dogecoin? I don't mean the 2 pizza pies from long ago, either.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I can see someone doing it within the last couple years with Bitcoin. That makes sense.

DOGE I dont know but it wouldnt surprise me. I wouldnt but then I guess I dont understand meme coins.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't think it will go there...so it's essentially a lottery ticket. Let's just hope he doesn't lose 90% of his value.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah a lottery ticket the guy paid for with his apartment.

Sure taking on some risk there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is an interesting development. I wonder what people will say once they have a chance to read it and digest it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Have you read it? I didn't bother and it's a bit late so I will check it out tomorrow.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No I didnt go through it. Not sure I will. There were some write ups about it.

Personally I really dont care what Dorsey does because he is a lot of talk. As for his decentralized Twitter, I just look to #ProjectBlank about that and was encouraged by the latest update from Leofinance.

Gov. Waller is one of the more astute members of the Fed. He isnt a lunatic like some who are making waves especially around Washington.

I think he nailed it on Bitcoin, at least the part about it being like gold. It is a store of value and really not used as a medium of exchange. The Maxis seem to believe it will be a threat to the USD but fixed currencies have never done that. The fact there is no elasticity is a problem in a currency.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The way things are going, the only threat to USD is USD.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Which isnt a problem because, ultimately, currency is valued against other currency. So the way the rest of the Big Four are going, it is likely the USD is the last one standing.

Then we flip the switch on the Metaverse and the USD is no more. LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it does seem like fiat is king right now in our daily lives so until this changes, I don't see the view of USD going away anytime soon.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The USD is not going anywhere for a long time. In fact, I will be dead before it is gone. So will many on this site.

People expect fiat to disappear are going to be sadly mistaken.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Question.
Are there any tutorials on making NFT on HIVE?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is new (to me at least). Tungsten cubes are a thing now in crypto??

Inside crypto's tungsten cube craze – the obsession with super-heavy metal blocks that cost up to $3,500

Group of investors purchase tungsten cube for $250,000

A group of investors called the TungstenDAO purchased an NFT of a 2-ton (but just over 14 dainty inches) tungsten cube for 56.9 ether, or about $250,000.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

So this NFT is backed by 2 tons of tungsten? I think that is quite nice but it's hard to tell whether or not it's worth that much.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I was surprised, as I usually keep up with crypto news, and didn't know people were actually buying blocks of tungsten.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I dont think we can underestimate the value of feel-less transactions on Hive.

Once people understand that DeFi is going to penetrate everything, the idea of transaction fees is going to be tough for people to swallow.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it will just be more people shouting for ETH killers and I do agree that I have been spoiled by fee-less transactions.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This ConstitutionDAO is some pretty interesting stuff. I keep reading the follow up stories and it is not stopping.

Are we seeing another layer of taking on the establishment? This is only the starting point. Imagine if we get a few dozen projects like this going at the same time and they actually come up winners.

It is fascinating at how quickly they got the $40 million. That shows we have a great deal of money floating around. As the entire value of the cryptospace grows, we are going to overwhelm the present system.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Imagine when they will be able to use #ProjectBlank to rally their troops for the next venture.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL this is a good take from the article.

ConstitutionDAO exemplified one of America's biggest strengths: the ability of ordinary citizens to come together and work for a common good. That tradition made the country great and is reflected in everything from its public schools to charity groups to the Girl Scouts. Unfortunately, in recent years, this great tradition has been harder to see as too many of our political leaders—on the left and right—abandoned their duties in favor of trolling the other side and shit-posting on social media.

Emphasis mine since it is so true.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I definitely agree. It's pretty much a single party in control right now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah but both parties are fuck ups. We cant deny the other side is just as inefficient and uncaring.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is a single party-- one creature with 2 wings. The creature has a Left Wing, and it has a Right Wing. The creature goes by many names, but its representatives from "both" parties play for the same team.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well thieves do go where the money is.

Part of that was Mark Cuban's money if I recall.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Mark Cuban wanted regulation since he lost money but ETH is where most of the TVL is stored right now so I am not surprised that most of it was on ETH.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes he wanted Big Brother as soon as he got rug pulled.

I guess he never heard about that.

Been reading more about the remote work situation. Some very interesting things taking place. This is a major paradigm shift in the employment realm. Do not think this is something that will just pass.

Workers now have more leverage than ever. The Great Resignation is happening for a reason. This is coupled with a few other variables which means that employers are going to have to embrace the idea.

Of course, all is not lost on them. It will allow them to find the best talent in the lowest cost areas. The potential worker pool is now global in that regard.

The decentralization of the Internet: Is it possible?

If blockchain can decentralize finance, can it do the same for the internet? Hypothetically, yes, seeing how even apps and computational operations can be decentralized.

We are seeing a major step forward with blockchain. Here is a good article about the potential.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Isn't IPFS (Interplanetary File System) a step in that direction? Filecoin is a crypto which deal with this situation. Then there is Internet Computer (ICP). We're so focused on the "stocks" and the "memes" that we forget about this aspect of crypto.
