The central objection of players exploitation very recently been subjected just a few decades ago, I think most catastrophically WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) brought forth the concept of making the players, their image and characters controlled and theorised by the script-maker.
Such features to me was formed because the people and fans of wrestling entertainment wanted to see drama and spice, thats how the story went on and their personal role,expectations, playing tactics - all taken away.
But, combat sports shouldnt be like that, rather more independence be given. Thats my take..
