In the end the problem I had in OpenSea was a visual glitch in MetaMask! Either for a swap or for buying a NFT they wanted to charge me $2.44. So it occurred to me to look at other users' transactions and I noticed that they were being charged no more than $0.04. So I took courage and proceeded.
The result? There was a flaw in the gas calculation. Possibly it is taking Ethereum gas into consideration, but when proceeding with the transaction, it heeds the gas in Abstract.
