Matt Damon and Ben Affleck The Last Duel bombed made only 30 million worldwide against a 100 million budget but now its finding new life on streaming hitting number 7 on the global HBO Max charts, the movie was directed by Ridley Scott and took a Rashomon approach showing the same incident from three different perspectives, it got great reviews sitting at 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with critics praising Jodie Comer performance and the writing, the problem was it came out in 2021 when people were still scared to go back to theaters so the timing just sucked, the movie is basically about systemic misogyny and male ego which sounds heavy but it works because of the performances and Scott epic directing style, its cool to see it get a second chance on streaming because it deserved way more attention than it got during its theatrical run.
