Hi guys, this is Luckyali, and welcome back to my other blog. Most people, including some of us, believe that blockchain means just cryptocurrencies; in fact, when we hear the word 'blockchain', two things come to our mind, and those are cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Bitcoin. However, one thing we have to understand is that blockchain is a vital technology; it is not just limited to cryptocurrencies, but it is more than that. It can transform the industries, and it is not just a financial tool, but it is beyond finance. It has decentralization, security, and transparency, which are why these important features are very useful in different industries other than finance.

Supply Chain Management & Healthcare

Do you know that blockchain can be used in tracking goods from start to end? It is all about recording steps, and it is a tamper-proof and shared ledger that stores the information. For instance, Amazon can use blockchain to trace products, and there are many benefits behind it, such as fraud can be reduced, safety will increase, and it plays an important role in building trust.

To ensure data privacy and minimize errors, blockchain is gonna be very useful for the healthcare sector, how? Let's understand it. blockchain stores the data of patients and all their records. And this data that is related to patients can be accessed in real time by doctors and even hospitals. Your medical history can be stored securely and safely in the blockchain ledger, and only professionals can check it when needed. Also, it is easy and hassle-free. This is possible with the blockchain.

Real Estate & Voting Systems

When it comes to real estate then there is heavy documentation, and there is middleman risk that eats a lot of money, and not only this, but risk involved. To save yourself from this, blockchain can be a very useful tool. The idea is to create land records digitally that cannot possible to copy and stored in a safe place. Smart contracts can be built that automate things such as buying or selling land, and this is a cheap, transparent, and faster way to manage data in the real estate field.

We often hear issues regarding the voting system, even though it has been done with the EVM. A blockchain-based voting system is gonna flip the scenario, and some countries have even done this for transparent and most secure elections. Remember one thing: every vote is important, and I have often seen that politicians lost the game by 1 vote. This happens, which is why every vote should be securely stored in a very secure system in which the vote cannot be deleted or changed, and this is what we need in the voting system. We need this for a secure democracy.

Conclusion

Apart from this, there are use cases in Education and Credentials of blockchain technology. That proves blockchain can help humanity to thrive. Wanna know your opinion on this? Please let me know in the comments section. Also, share this post and follow me. Good night.

Blockchain voting always sounds great until you ask one simple question: who verifies I’m actually me?
You said every vote matters and shouldn’t change. True. But blockchain only guarantees the vote doesn’t change after it’s recorded. What if someone else votes for me before it’s recorded? Or forces me to vote their way?
Same problem with your healthcare example: yes, data becomes tamper-proof, but what if wrong data gets entered initially? Blockchain doesn’t solve garbage-in, garbage-out.
That was exactly Estonia’s problem—one of the first countries to test blockchain voting. Everything was transparent, but they realized voter identity verification was still a massive weak point.
