It's a voluntary participation situation, we've had this conversation before. You are free to participate knowing it's strengths and weaknesses or not.. There are certainly some huge assholes, but that is a different thing from terrorism, Nazi, Tyranny and all your dramatic words.
I don't agree with all that happens, but I understand how DPOS works. :)

DPOS is the mechanism, not the dynamic.

The large shareholders of the company (and the brainwashed customers) might beat up those for droning on about health because it disturbs their utopian dream of living on ice cream ( the truth causing psychological pain - cognitive dissonance).... it doesn't stop me talking about celery.
The large shareholders and carbohydrate addicts see the truth being presented as a threat to their reality - and react.
