That is true, US Government pays for people working at big tech to execute content moderation. In my book that is grave violation of the First Amendment.

It seems the incentive structure to meddle with the free flow of information might be just too damn high.

Web3

Web2 and Web3 will Co-Exist for my whole life. Not sure if one solves or rescues the other.

Web2 will always corrupt and web3 will always be less rich in features, centralized infrastructure is just too cheap to compete with on a raw power level.

That is today. In a decade, we are likely looking at a completely different story.

But yes Web2 isnt going to disappear in a heartbeat just like newspapers are still around even though they are dead. Generational shifts takes, well, a generation.

Need to get rid of the Boomers and GenX before we see a totally new system.
