Yes I did... turns out my friend made a lite account... I ended up making him a new one. I thought he had fumbled the ball and had lost his keys.
Ah alright, its not easy when you are new to know the difference
Let him try this. Let him sign out and sign in again using the same email he signed up with, then go to settings and search for claim key to get the keys.
