And the conversations this evening with @holoz0r and @ctrpch were around art, technology and finance, but not all connected. I feel like they would have a much better viewpoint on it than me.
That said, my thoughts on how the wealthy have always chosen art had a lot more to do with who painted it. When they show it off it's never an obscure artist it's a famous name (usually long dead). So if that's a trend that continues I find it hard to imagine that AI art would ever gain that level of prestige.
yeah, is a very good point. I think some famous AI art just appears on social media for a time - but is it really that good, the story sometimes seems to be, just that it was created by AI. It's getting so real now can't tell the difference if it was a real photo!. Gosh I have to get use to posting, found a few typpos and should have used some different pics. anyways, cheers for the inspiration to post again.
I guess if we end up spending most of our lives in the virtual world there could be famous AI artists. After all they're supposed to be getting pretty good at fooling us that they're real people. There may even be a way of verifying the art to the AI creator as well, but what level of value is there for work that can be churned out by the millions/billions/trillions...
Happy to get you back posting. 😊
