Rebellion presale is in a couple of hours and I’ve not felt this wave of excitement within the community since Alpha and Beta edition packs were released, having changed the CEO and more than half of the crew, implementing daily burns to packs, introducing totally new abilities and the prospect of splitting sales profit with the DAO, Rebellion really is giving that feeling of a new dawn so how can I not participate in this presale?

I mean what if it’s a new dawn for real? what if Rebellion has that mojo to usher in a new wave of multitude of players from the gaming space? What if Rebellion has that mojo to bring back Splinterlands past glory? I mean, we can already see the effect of the presale announcement on the price of $DEC which has recovered from sub $0.0007 levels and is now getting close to the peg at $0.001 just because Rebellion packs are priced in DEC and this is just presale.

Am I making sense? What if Rebellion sales finally takes $DEC to peg and the flywheel effects kicks in? Meaning that any overflowing value trickling into $DEC after it reaches its peg flows into $SPS and depending on the magnitude of the overflow, the value of $SPS also begins to appreciate, plus the fact that almost everyone on Splinterlands also knows this and will want to lock in some profit from that appreciation making them to buy and hold some $SPS which will further increase the value.

And one thing is for sure, as the value of SPS increases, so will the value of rewards from battles, if the reward from battles increases and is attractive enough, more people will see reasons to play and combine their cards to attain higher levels of reward which will lead to players either buying cards or renting which will also make the value of the cards increase and the potential of having a bull run before the real bull run may kick in and take effect. This is so fun to think about if you ask me and all this happens to coincide with the public release of Lands, how exciting. What I’m hoping for how is to see the peg of DEC hold even after the presale.

So what are my plans? Due to the fact that only Rebellion series will be allowed in Modern ranked battles, anyone who has the plan to battle there will need Rebellion packs, for this, I’m looking to buy in around $50 worth of packs, small but it’s my widows mite. According to the presale announcement,….

….Each Rebellion booster pack will have a base price of 5000 Credits or 5000 DEC, and purchasers may spend VOUCHER tokens in order to receive a discount on the base price. Each VOUCHER token used will reduce the price by 200 Credits / DEC and the maximum discount available using VOUCHER tokens will be 20%. This means that with the maximum available VOUCHER discount, each pack will cost 4000 Credits or DEC plus 5 VOUCHER tokens.

Which means I need 60,000 DEC to get 12 packs. If I include 20% of discount from Vouchers it means I’ll be needing 48000 DEC and 150 vouchers. Decisions decisions decisions, at the end of the day, if I need more cards, I’ll be approaching the rental markets for it, I mean that’s why they are there isn’t it. It’s high time I delved into it myself.

It’s almost time for the beginning of a New dawn on Splinterlands folks, together we rise! Let’s make it happen.

Too many "if´s"

But it takes just one kick off the effect of the others
