I was thinking, Hive is lacking in many fronts, one of which is visibility. We admit the fact that majority of crypto is noise and garbage, from useless memes to empty DeFi promises, but guess what, that’s what is rocking cryptos boat, you’d be surprised at how much attention and value those useless memes are attracting.

Take a look at the trending memes this year, useless but gaining a lot of traction and visibility for example, in the Solana ecosystem, meme tokens like Bonk, Myro and the likes, worth 100s of millions and trending every other day, for doing basically nothing but noise making, understanding that they are pumped with VC money, what if it’s all just marketing, you can tell that whatever it is, is working for SOL and parent tokens of those other memes.

So hear me out, what if we do a meme season on Hive, create memes and pump them, as marketing, with funds for marketing, they’ll def attract many crypto people, most will come to farm memes when they see people getting rich, some will stay for the tech or community. It would have been easily done with VC money,…Like other chains do e.g Solana and co. The fact that DHF funding has to go through community scrutiny limits bullshits. But many crypto people like bullshit. Just saying

So, some amount of funds set aside from the DHF, for marketing, but this marketing funds, essentially, is to pump memes, certainly not every meme will be pump-able, but memes that have the ability to attract people, anyone can create a meme, but only the ones with the best value props, ideas, designs, marketing strategies, get funded aka pumped by community voting.

Who gets pumped?

Now, the big question is, how do we implement this in a way that not only brings short-term buzz but also long-term growth and credibility to the Hive ecosystem?
