Recently, the crypto world has been buzzing with excitement as the price of $Bitcoin regained $25k and as other alts had a small rally. Hive pumped shortly from $0.4-0.62 and the price of DEC and SPS followed suit, I wrote a post 4 days ago about the $DEC token.
In that post, I questioned whether DEC dips were still "gold" in light of the recent changes to the Splinterlands ecosystem. Specifically, I discussed the recent introduction of DEC-B and its impact on the price of SPS.
As it turns out, my predictions have been proven correct. In the day following my post, the price of DEC hit an impressive 0.0085, even higher on some exchanges and is presently correcting at $0.0075. Meanwhile, SPS reached around $0.035 and is presently correcting at $0.0028.
So, what does this mean for the future of DEC and SPS in the Splinterlands ecosystem?
First, it's important to understand the role of DEC in the Splinterlands ecosystem. According to my previous post, DEC is designed to absorb value and pass it on to SPS if the price of DEC goes over the peg. This means that if DEC stabilizes at its pegged value of 1000-$1, it would be a highly bullish sign for SPS.
With DEC now reaching prices higher than it was, it's clear that there is potential for even more growth in the future. Furthermore, the recent pump in the price of SPS, which has a market capitalization of $6 million, suggests that investors are still optimistic about the future of the token.
However, it's also important to consider the broader context of the Splinterlands ecosystem. As I noted in my previous post, there is so much going on within Splinterlands at the moment, from the introduction of new reward cards and lands, to partnerships with other games.
All of these developments have the potential to impact the price of SPS and DEC, whether or not these price movements are but a short time pump or as a result of the numerous updates within the game, no one is sure, so it's important to stay informed and stay ahead of the curve.
So, what should we expect in the future?
It's difficult to say for certain, but based on the recent performance of DEC and SPS, it's clear that there is significant potential for both tokens. Whether you're a long-term investor or a short-term trader, now is a great time to consider investing in the Splinterlands ecosystem.
