80s era can said to be the bedrock of 90s era, as it's seen that most invention and aspiration came from there and the 80s and 90s futuristic collaboration is really appreciated by mankind.
The popular fashion, culture, music and technology we're experiencing is as a result of these two distinct decades that has shaped the world in which we lived today
As an historian, we referred to 1980s as the "decade of excess," because it was a period of great cultural innovation and economic prosperity. the rise of consumerism is marked by this era.
During this era, people embraced materialism and also indulged in luxury goods. The winds of fashion of the 80s very commendable as it was very colorful and bold, trends such as leg warmers, shoulder pads, and neon colors, these trends dominated the scene.
No doubt that music was not left out in the 80s with a diverse nature, 80s had genres like hip pop, hop and rock, we had some iconic and well fave appreciated artists like Michael Jackson,Prince and Madonna, these men shaped the sound of the era.
In technology aspect, 1980s also played a significant role in advancing technology in the area of video games, personal computer, and network. The apple launched the first Macintosh in 1984, which I will say help in revolutionizing the mode of communications and interactions through technology. CDs, and MTV in the music industries was transformed making music videos into what's known as mainstream.

We had some slight shift and an alternative almost in everything that features in the 80s. The 90s music, came with a new bands such as pearl Jam, Nirvana and Soundgarden who dominated the airwaves and rise to more bigger fave.
Research had it that the 90s fashion was more casual and relaxed with trends and styles such as baggy jeans, flannel shirts, and crop tops which are now popular and going viral.

The rise and proliferation of computer in 1990s lead to the dot-com boom and the birth of e-commerce, and the launch of websites such as eBay and Amazon revolutionized and shaped the business of today and making digital world what it's today
great to point as an historian, the 90s were also a time of political change in the international system, with the dissolution of the Soviet Union reshaping the global geopolitical landscape and the end of the Cold War.
