A false finance company duped rural women of lakhs of rupees in the name of loans. The ladies who were scammed vandalised the company's office and protested by blocking the road. The SDO and SDPO explained the case to the people...

A group of rural women was formed, and each group contributed Rs. 2,500. The defrauded women protested by blocking the road and damaging the company's headquarters. The women calmed down when the SDO and SDPO attempted to soothe them, and the police station recorded their statements.

Hundreds of women were scammed of lakhs of rupees by a fraudulent financing organization that pretended to be offering loans before running away. Infuriated by this, hundreds of women demonstrated on Wednesday by damaging the banking company's office at the city's ADB Chowk. The women then sat on a dharna on the main road near ADB Chowk and stopped it. However, the women were calmed down and taken to the police station by SDO Aniket Kumar and SDPO Ram Pukar Singh, who were traveling along this road. At the police station, all of the women's statements were recorded.

The ladies who were protesting claimed that in exchange for granting a loan of 76 thousand rupees, the staff of a company named River Micro Finance demanded a processing fee of between 2500 and 3000 rupees from each women's group. To pick up the money, everyone was summoned to the Araria ADB Chowk office on Wednesday. The office was locked when they arrived. The manager's phone was off when they called him. Following this, they made repeated attempts to get in touch with the manager and other field employees but were unable. This infuriated the women, who vandalized the workplace in protest. The ADB Chowk was shut three times in a single hour following the incident.
Hundreds of women, including Gulshan Khatoon, Julie Devi, Renu Devi, Manju Devi, Ruby Devi, Suman Devi, Shobha Devi, and Sajni Devi, who participated in the roadblock protest, claimed that the finance company's representatives used to visit their homes to collect insurance and loan processing fees and to take money via cash, Phone Pay, and Google Pay. The defrauded women claimed to have saved between 2,500 and 3,000 rupees per day. 76 loans were promised by the financing company's employees.

The women explained that a group of 20 women from various panchayats had been created by the microfinance company's employees. All of the group members paid this sum as a processing fee, but when the women arrived at the office to pick up the loan, they discovered that it was locked and that all of the company's staff had left. The women who were defrauded said that the company's agent had promised them for months that their business was approved by the government. After defrauding them of millions of rupees, the business is thought to have run away.
