The situation is now the total absence of cash, mobile money transfer and not banking network coverage, do they think we can survive without money even when an emergency transfer is needed?.

For whatever reasons the CBN chose to initiate this cashless policy at a daring time in our society is up to them and whether it has achieved it purpose or not is no longer our concern.
But the situation is getting out of hand as it has gotten to a point people are now losing their lives because of these policies.

There is no mercy in the heart of this government and those working in the banking sectors have not shown us mercy either.
No bank will release cash to you even if someone is dying.

Not having cash isn't the problem on ground right now, we are having piles of problems been added on daily basis.
The digital transactions are taking too long to be completed. Serious delays in money transfer and and network coverage completely out for some banks.
I almost lost someone to an accident yesterday when the doctors delayed treatments because of a delay in money transfer.
After making a transaction in the early hours of the morning, transferring a sum to the hospital bank accounts, the said amount didn't drop in their wallet until evening.
And for whatever reasons, Medical practitioners do not commence treatment in private hospital until a deposit has been made.

Looking at all these, it seems to me that these activities are intentional.

  • Withholding cash

  • Holding back network coverage for mobile money transfer

  • Bank network issues and system shutdown

All these are intentional
The only working bank in Nigeria right now is this online bank not too controlled by the government.

Opay is a financial institution that provides very fast digital services to people around here.
Not knowing if there have a head office or not I was a bit skeptical about opening an account where I might not be able to track or trace failed transactions physically.

They are yet to have physical offices across the country and its difficult to trust online bank service providers, but thy did save the day yesterday where I had to borrow friends account to carry out a transfer of the needed emergency fund.

Are you for real ?? What a bad situation to be in , why such evil act from the banks ?

I totally do not understand either.
People are really inhumane around here.

It's mostly opay, moniepoint and palmpay that people are using these days. And Kuda too.

The brick and mortar banks do not work unless very early in the morning

It almost ruined me yesterday, I was pitiable.
I hope that all these will be over soon.

This cashless system is deteriorating truth be said. I have never experience this before in my entire life where you have buy use naira to buy naira😂 it's funny yet not funny. You can imagine going to the POS merchant to get a thousand naira and you're asked to pay 400 Naira for a thousand Naira leaving there with just 600 naira. I felt like crying but couldn't because it wouldn't change anything.

You made mention about private hospital not attending to you if they haven't seen your money, please include the government owned hospital also. Government hospital where you pay for everything including syringe and cotton wool for you to get better treatment but should in case you don't have them then you should consider yourself sorry because no one will attend to you.

How will patient relative now cope with all this menace in the country as the rate of death is alarming due to this cashless policy in the country. I just pray things get better soon. Thank you

Hopefully, Nigeria is currently messed up and they are not ready to ease the situation for people.

God will help us all. The country is in a bad condition and need someone that can turn things around for us.
