A Great Option Against Magic Attacks in Splinterlands

Today I'm going to talk about the Phantom Soldier card in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.

I don't like facing monsters with magic attacks in the game because, in my opinion, they are the strongest type of monster. They usually have powerful abilities and ignore the monster's armor, attacking their life directly.

When it comes to protecting against monsters with magic attacks, there are two abilities that I really like to use in battles: Void and Silence.

Void: The monster with this ability will only receive 50% magic damage.

This ability is a great defense when your opponent uses monsters with magic attacks in battle.

Silence: The monster with this ability will reduce the magic attack of enemy monsters by -1.

This ability is a great debuff when your opponent uses monsters with magic attacks in battle.

I like the cards from older editions because they remind me of a nostalgic time in Splinterlands, and when it comes to defending against magical attacks, the Phantom Soldier is a great ally in battle.

The Phantom Soldier is an epic card from the Death Deck, and it was distributed as a reward card in the Beta Edition. Unfortunately, I wasn't playing Splinterlands when the Beta Edition was released; I only started playing during the Chaos Legion Edition era. But the cards from the Alpha, Beta, and Untamed Editions were very popular at the time and were also my favorite editions. I remember always using the Phantom Soldier in my battles, and it has brought me many victories in the past.

Currently, the Phantom Soldier is still a great card in my opinion because it can deal a lot of damage in battle, is useful against monsters with magical attacks, and has a good chance of dodging attacks with its Flying ability.

Flying: +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake. Another advantage of Phantom Soldier nowadays is that you can buy/rent it for a low price, so it's much more accessible than it was in the past. I remember always trying to rent Phantom Soldier at level 3 because above that level it was hard to find or the price was too high; now I can easily rent it at the maximum level for a low price.

Now let's see how Phantom Soldier performs in battles currently. Is it still an amazing card like in the past?

Watch The Battle

In this battle, Phantom Soldier may not have been the star because I used several powerful and useful cards, but Phantom Soldier was very useful with its Silence ability, as it reduced the attack of my opponent's monsters and made the battle much easier.

This is the type of battle where Phantom Soldier fits perfectly because it has the Wands Out rule.

Wands Out: Under this rule, players can only use monsters with magic attacks in battle.

This means that the Void ability and the Silence ability are perfect for this battle since the opponent's monsters will have magic attacks.

It wasn't a difficult battle and only lasted 4 rounds; you can see that Phantom Soldier is still a great card today.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
