A Powerful Attack with a Combination of Buff and Debuff.

Today I'm going to talk about the Ruler of the Seas card in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.

The Ruler of the Seas is a legendary card from the Beta Edition. It belongs to the Water deck and is one of my favorite cards in that deck. In the past, you could get this card from Focus Chests in Splinterlands, meaning you could get it completely free in the game depending on your luck.

Unfortunately, I didn't play when the Beta Edition was released. I started playing Splinterlands when the Chaos Legion Edition was released, and by then there was already another Reward Set.

Nowadays, the Ruler of the Seas still has good market value, but in the past, this card cost hundreds of dollars.

Why do I like the Ruler of the Seas card?

The Ruler of the Seas is a card with a magic attack, which is great news since these cards are powerful because they can ignore the armor of enemy monsters. But the main reason I like the Ruler of the Seas is because of its abilities.

There are 3 abilities that the Ruler of the Seas possesses: Blast, Swiftness and Silence.

Blast: Deals an additional 50% damage (rounded up) to units adjacent to the target.

This is a great ability for the Ruler of the Seas to deal even more damage during battle.

Swiftness: +1 speed to all allied units.

Increasing attack speed is always useful because it increases your chances of attacking first and dodging attacks, but this ability will be a terrible ability when the Reverse Speed rule is in effect in battle.

Silence: -1 magic power to all enemy units.

As I mentioned before, monsters with magic attacks are powerful, and that's why this ability is very useful when you face them.

The only disadvantage of the Ruler of the Seas is that it has low health, so it can be easily defeated if it's the main target of the enemy's attacks.

Now let's see the Ruler of the Seas on the battlefield.

Watch The Battle

In this battle, the Ruler of the Seas was the main target of my opponent's attacks, but it was very useful and showed that increasing attack speed is a great strategy because it dodged several attacks. Unfortunately, the Ruler of the Seas was defeated, but the damage it caused and the attacks it dodged gave my monsters a great chance to deal more damage to my opponent's monsters, and for that reason I won the battle.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
