Today I'm going to talk about the Kazira Vaelstrik card in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.

Kazira Vaelstrik is a card from the new Reward Set and belongs to the dragon deck. The reason I'm talking about this card is because it caught my attention with its abilities, and it's a great ally in the Going the Distance rule.
I'm not a big fan of ranged cards in Splinterlands because they can't attack in the first position, and the Going the Distance rule is one of the rules I hate most in the game.

Going the Distance: In this rule, players can only use monsters that have ranged attacks.
Since I'm not a fan of monsters with ranged attacks, this is one of the worst battle rules for me, but the story changes when I use monsters with the Close Range ability, and that's when Kazira Vaelstrik comes into play.
Kazira Vaelstrik has 4 abilities: Flying, Immunity, Close Range and Last Word.

Flying: +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake.
For those who have used monsters with this ability, you know how incredibly useful it is when the monster needs to dodge attacks.

Immunity: Provides immunity to magic debuffs and Cripple.
This is a very useful ability, especially under the Noxious Fume rule.

Close Range: Can use ranged attacks from the first position.
This ability is one of the main reasons I like Kazira Vaelstrik; with it, I can select Kazira Vaelstrik in the first position and she will continue attacking and also be a great defense in battle since she has a lot of health and armor.

Last Word: Provides immunity to Final Rest (allied and enemy abilities that trigger on defeat cannot activate).
I have no doubt that I'll want Kazira Vaelstrik in my collection, but I'll depend on luck for that because my focus in the Glint Shop is on Loot Chests.
Since the new Reward Set was recently released, I have time to level up all the cards to the maximum level, so I want to focus first on Loot Chests to try and win some Jackpots, then my focus will be on Rarity Draws.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
