Coeurl Lurker, The Untouchable

in LeoFinance11 hours ago

Today I'm going to talk about the Coeurl Lurker card in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.

One of my favorite strategies in the game is to have cards with high attack speed in battles and abilities like Swiftness, Slow, and Blind. Coeurl Lurker is one of the essential cards when using this type of strategy because it has the Taunt ability and a high chance of dodging attacks, but I'll explain in detail how this card works and how I use it in battle.

Coeurl Lurker is a legendary monster from the neutral deck and it belongs to the mini-set called Riftwatchers, meaning you can only obtain it by opening Riftwatchers packs or buying it on the market.

To use Coeurl Lurker in battle you need to spend 11 mana, so it's not the type of card you'll easily use in battles with low mana available. Coeurl Lurker has a melee attack and boasts a great amount of attack, health, and attack speed, making it the type of card that will deal a lot of damage in battle and won't be easily defeated.

Now let's look at Coeurl Lurker's abilities: Taunt, Dodge, Phase and Thorns.

Taunt: Draws the attacks of enemy units. Does not affect Reach, Scattershot, Wingbreak, or enemy units in the first position.

Dodge: +25% chance to evade physical attacks.

Phase: Magic attacks have the same chance to miss as physical attacks.

Thorns: Returns 2 physical damage to the attacker when hit by a melee attack.

There are many cards with the Taunt ability in Splinterlands, but few have both the Taunt and Phase abilities. This is one of the reasons I like using Coeurl Lurker in my strategies.

Now let's test Coeurl Lurker in battle to show how useful it is, and I'll help it using monsters that have the abilities Swiftness, Slow, and Blind.

Watch The Battle

In this battle, I can only describe Coeurl Lurker as an incredible card because it managed to dodge all of the opponent's attacks. Yes, you read that right, it received and dodged all attacks during the battle, and all my opponent could do was wait for the inevitable defeat.

If you still have doubts about how useful Coeurl Lurker is, then watch this battle.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
