Explaining How to Buy and Open Riftwatchers Packs in Splinterlands

in LeoFinance2 days ago

Currently, my focus in Splinterlands is building a card collection with the Chaos Legion cards, the new Reward Set cards, Foundation cards, and Gladiator cards. Recently I've been opening Chaos Legion packs and Foundation Packs, but today I'm going to open the Riftwatchers pack.

The cards in the Riftwatchers pack are a mini-set from the Chaos Legion edition, and I remember when it was released I wanted to buy some packs but didn't because the price was high at the time. But today you can find this pack for less than 20% of what it was back then, and that caught my attention because the cards in the Riftwatchers packs are powerful and useful in battles, especially Coeurl Lurker.

There are two options to buy the Riftwatchers packs: buying them in Card Packs in Splinterlands or buying them in the Hive Engine.

The lowest price for the Riftwatchers pack on the Hive Engine is 6.64 Swap.Hive, which is equivalent to $0.74. In my opinion, this isn't a good option because you can find this pack cheaper on Splinterlands.

Log in to the Splinterlands website and in the upper left corner of the screen go to SHOP and then to Card Packs.

You will find all the packs currently available on Splinterlands. Choose Riftwatchers and you're done. Each Riftwatchers pack costs 1053 DEC, which is equivalent to $0.60. This price is almost 20% cheaper than on the Hive Engine.

In my opinion, this price is low, and that's why I decided to choose the Chaos Legion edition to build a card collection because they offer great value for money.

My focus is on the Chaos Legion packs, so I'll only buy one Riftwatchers pack, but I'll buy more soon. I decided to buy and open this pack today because it's always been something I wanted to do, and now that it's more affordable, I can finally do it.

Choose the OPEN option in the upper left corner of the screen; this is the option to open packs in Splinterlands.

Don't forget to use Alchemy potions and Legendary potions when opening your packs.

Alchemy Potion: This potion increases your chances of getting Gold Foil cards.

Legendary Potion: This potion increases your chances of getting Legendary cards.

Now let's see the cards I'll receive opening the Riftwatchers pack. I would be happy to receive Coeurl Lurker.

I didn't get Coeurl Lurker, but I was lucky enough to get the summoner Sthispa; she's one of the summoners I wanted most in this set.

Now let's take a look at whether the cards I received in the pack are more valuable than the pack itself.

The total value of the cards I received is $0.31, but this value is incorrect because 1 BCX from Sthispa costs $0.49 on the market, so adding all the values I didn't make a profit and I didn't lose anything either. I consider this a victory when it comes to opening packs.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
