My current strategy in Splinterlands is to play only in the Frontier format and participate in Guild Brawls. This is because I don't have much time to play, and these two options are great for my goal of building a card collection in the game because I get cards in both formats.
- In the Frontier format, I'll get Foundation cards that will be useful for all my battles.
- In Guild Brawls, I'll earn merits to buy Gladius Cases and earn Gladiator cards.
I'll still buy cards on the market because with only these two sets of cards, I can't compete in the highest leagues in other formats or tournaments, but it's a great way to start a card collection in Splinterlands.

In the Frontier format, I'm only in the Bronze II league. This is one of the smallest leagues in this format, and I'm still in it because I'm only using the cards I received for completing Campaign Mode in Splinterlands. I'm using the cards I earn in this format to expand my Foundations card collection and evolve the ones I already have.
I realized this isn't a good starting strategy because I can receive much more rewards in the higher leagues, and Foundations cards are currently at a low price. So I'm going to buy some to improve my Foundations card collection and reach higher leagues.

This is my current Foundations card collection in Splinterlands. It's still very weak, but it's enough for me to claim the three daily rewards in the Frontier format.
Unlike other formats, there are only three leagues in the Frontier format: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
Each league has its own rewards, and if you're curious about them, I'll show you in the images below.
Bronze

These are the rewards for the Bronze League, and even though it's the lowest league in Frontier mode, you can still get great rewards.
Silver

In the Silver League, the rewards start to improve, but it's in the Gold League that they really get better.
Gold

This is the best league to play in Frontier mode because you receive the Foundation Pack, which includes 5 cards, at least 1 of which will be Rare or higher.
Daily Rewards can be collected up to 3 times per day, and whenever you advance in the league, you also receive rewards.

These were my rewards when I reached the Bronze II League.
Only players who reach the maximum tier (Gold I) will be reset at the end of the season.
I used to play in the Wild format, but I didn't make much profit playing it since I had to buy the season pass. So Frontier mode is perfect because I can get great rewards without spending anything.
My goal is to reach the Gold League to get better rewards. After I've upgraded all my Foundation Cards to the maximum level, I'll start selling them on the market to earn DEC and buy cards from other editions, thus further expanding my card collection in the game.
You can find more information about the Frontier format at Frontier Format FAQ. This is official Splinterlands information on how the Frontier format works in the game.

This was my first reward of the day in the Frontier format, and next week I'll start buying cards on the market to upgrade my Foundation Cards and improve my performance in this format.
Now I'll talk a little about the Arcade Colony platform, there you can find other games like Splinterlands that can be fun and profitable.
Remember, this is not an investment tip.
At Arcade Colony you will find the games Splinterlands, Moon Karts, Stakehouse Den and Genesis League Goals.
In my post: Discover the Arcade Colony Platform, I explain a little about the platform and how you can create an account on it.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
On the Arcade Colony website, you have access to the platform Whitepapper and Discord, both of which are great sources of knowledge.
