Since the new Reward Set arrived in Splinterlands, I haven't participated in ranked battles yet. The reason is because I'm playing in the Wild format, and the season is nearing its end. So, I'll wait for a new season to start and buy the battle pass because it's not profitable to buy the pass when the season is ending.
If you don't yet know about the new rewards in Splinterlands, then I recommend you read the post: 🧙♂️ The Conclave Arcana Reward Set: A New Era of Ranked Rewards and Distribution.
I choose the Wild format because I don't have much time to play Splinterlands, so my goal will be to use Xbot on days when I can't play manually. This way, I won't lose any energy and will maximize my earnings during the season.
Another reason for choosing the Wild format is because I can use Chaos Legion cards, and this is one of the cheapest sets you can rent in Splinterlands, which provides great results in battles.

Before I stopped playing Wild, I was playing in Diamond I. After the season reset, I had 2900 points in Diamond III. This is a great league to get back into because I rent cards at max level, and my earnings will be high from the start.

There are still four days and a few hours left in the season, so while I wait for a new season to start, I'll continue playing Frontier to have fun and get some rewards.
I also have the option of playing Modern, but I'd have to rent a lot of cards, and I don't have much time to play, so I'd probably end up losing money. While I enjoy playing Splinterlands, I also see the game as an investment and need good strategies to avoid losing money.

In Frontier, I'm in Bronze II with 460 points. This is one of the lowest leagues in this format. However, it costs nothing to play since I have several Foundation cards, so I can have fun and earn rewards easily.
My goal in Frontier is to get the 3 daily rewards. In Bronze, this means 6 Foundation cards and 3 Frontier Entries in total.
Now, let's get into the spirit of the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Battlefield Breakthroughs!
Today, I'll share a battle I found interesting in Frontier mode and show the importance of having monsters with a high chance to dodge attacks.

Watch The Battle
This is the battle I'll share, and in it, I'll show how the Scales of Justice card was essential to my victory.
The Scales of Justice card makes many beginner players doubt whether it's a good choice for battles because it can't attack and has few abilities. The answer to this question lies in the Dodge ability.

Dodge: With this ability, Scales of Justice will have a +25% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks.
This ability alone is enough to make Scales of Justice a great card, especially when it has a good amount of attack speed.
In the battle I mentioned above, Scales of Justice managed to dodge 4 attacks from enemy cards and managed to survive the entire battle while none of my cards took any damage.
Having cards with a large amount of health and armor can be a good choice, but in my opinion, the best defense is cards with a high attack speed, and that was the lesson I learned from this battle.
If you want to start playing the Frontier format without buying or renting any cards, then I recommend my post: Explaining How the Frontier Format Works in Splinterlands.
I'm looking forward to the new season in Splinterlands and seeing what rewards I can earn.
