I had a couple of cards on the rental market and I used to update the price manually every now and then. I knew there was a bot that could do that for me but I was under the impression that listing cards required the active key and I wasn't comfortable giving that privilege to a Splinterlands renting bot. That's when a fellow player informed me that listing cards on the rental market only requires the posting key.
I signed up for Splex.gg and I noticed there are a couple of cards that yield over 100% yearly on the rental market! I'm always looking for new ways to generate passive income and renting my cards while I wait out the bear market seems like a great opportunity. On top of the rental income, I'm expecting some of these cards to go way up in value in the future, since they're so useful and unique.
On the market page, you can see the cards with the highest returns considering the last 14 days rental prices by level. Over the past few days, I've been buying and renting some of the cards on top of the list according to what I think will be useful in the future. It is also important to take into consideration how many copies are left to be printed since you don't want to buy a card that just started being printed. Otherwise, the rental supply will increase as more of said card enters circulation.
I bought a couple of level 2 Uraeus since it is one of my favorite cards to use and it is getting pretty near to full print with only 26% of the total supply left to be issued. Over the next few weeks, I will focus on buying a diversified portfolio of cards with 50%+ rental ROI. Then all I have to do is let Splex manage the rentals, sit back and enjoy the constant DEC coming in every single day.
